Mother & Daughter: Conheça essa história

Há mais ou menos 1 ano e meio, mãe e filha, Helena e Danielle matricularam-se na YouLearn. Juntas, elas sempre encontram motivação para continuar essa trajetória. Muito queridas pelos colegas de classe, teachers e toda a equipe, elas se destacam por representarem a dupla Mother & Daughter do nosso Mother's Day 2014.

Na quinta-feira, 08/05/2014, Danielle fez uma surpresa para Helena. A filha chegou na YouLearn com um lindo buquê de lírios vermelhos para homenagear a mãe ao final de sua aula. Helena nem imaginava que a Danielle estava lá, aguardando-a sair da sala. A YouLearn parou para assistir a esse momento único, um lindo gesto de carinho e gratidão.

"Foi emocionamente! Ano que vem, quero ser a escolhida!" Disse uma colega de classe da Helena.

"Podemos ficar para assistir? Vai ser muito legal!" Disse uma aluna de 13 anos do High Teens.

Thanksgiving Day!

Você sabe o que significa "Thanksgiving Day"?

"Thanksgiving Day" é traduzido para o português como "Dia de ação de graças". O primeiro dia de ação de Graças foi celebrado em 1620 em Plymouth, Massachusetts, pelos peregrinos fundadores da vila. Depois das colheitas terem sido gravemente prejudicadas pelo inverno rigoroso, os colonos tiveram uma boa colheita de milho no verão seguinte. Para marcar e celebrar a ocasião, depois de sucessivos anos de escassez, o governador da vila resolveu organizar uma festa. Nessa festa participaram cerca de 90 índios e foram servidos patos, perus, peixes e milho. A partir desse ano, todo outono era organizada uma festa de gratidão a Deus pelas boas colheitas. O dia de ação de Graças, celebrado na 4ª quinta-feira de novembro, é feriado nos Estados Unidos e no Canadá; observado como um dia de gratidão, geralmente a Deus, pelos bons acontecimentos ocorridos durante o ano. Neste dia, as pessoas dão as graças com festas e orações.
